The younger brother of member representing Ebonyi North-west in the state house of assembly, Victor Aleke, was found dead in his car boot along the Abakaliki/Afikpo expressway.   It was gathered that the deceased, Engineer Samuel Aleke, reportedly left his house Saturday evening May 23 and was not seen until the next day when his corpse was discovered inside the boot of his car.   A source who spoke to Premium Times under anonymity, said that the deceased had informed his pregnant wife that he was going to collect an…

Three sisters drown in Ebonyi (graphic photos)

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday April 25, as three sisters between the ages of 14 and 20 drowned in a river at Amaeze village in Ishiagu community of Ebonyi State.   The three sisters who attended Comprehensive secondary school in Ishiagu, were found floating on the water, however what led to the deaths is yet to be uncovered. The siblings have reportedly been buried beside the stream without caskets, as culture and tradition demand.   The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel confirmed the incident and he…
