Flashback to 2017, Nigerian singer Wizkid posted a tweet about his desire to make music with legendary singer Asa which kept a lot of fans hopeful that new music from the two giants would arrive sooner than later. Unfortunately, we didn’t get the collaboration that year until few more years later.
Asa who is a Nigerian-french singer has also shown her interest in making music with Wizkid as she revealed that the singer is her favorite amongst the top acts in the country via an interview.
You can call it a coincidence, but the tweet from Wizkid was on exactly 22nd February 2017, while his announcement of a new song with Asa came exactly 22nd February 2022. Whether planned or not, Wizkid knows how to wow his fans and we can all agree to that.
Asa has officially featured Wizkid, and the song is housed on her latest album called “V“. While the album is a masterpiece, fans have hyped her collaboration with Wizkid “IDG” more.
