It was a great night as Psalm Ebube received an international award, World Civility Song Award for his contribution to civil society, humanitarian efforts and writing songs that impact the society.
The gospel artiste, Akinyemi Oluwasesan Samuel popularly known as Psalm Ebube was honored along with others in Lagos by Opad The Organization for Poverty Alleviation & Development. I Change Nations’ with the prestigious ‘World Civility Song of the Year 2020’ award category last Sunday, February 23rd, 2020. That makes the artiste an Ambassador of Civility.
Speaking at the event, spokesperson of the organisation, Dr. Clyde Rivers stated that the song ‘One Love One World’ recorded by the artiste in 2017 earned him the the award. “We at ‘I Change Nations’ are so proud of the work Ambassador Psalm Ebube has done to bring the message of Civility to the World through Music,” says Dr Rivers.
Speaking further about the song, Dr Clyde Rivers who is the Acting Representative to the United Nation
for the Interfaith Peace Building stated, Global Board Chairman for Opad The Organization for Poverty Alleviation & Development, “That song is one of the greatest civility song in the world. His music moves the heart of humanity. Across Africa, Psalm Ebube is raising his voice to help foster global consciousness about fragility, civility and to improve the lives of orphans and vulnerable children in West Africa.”
The event was extremely successful, due largely to the efforts of Dr. Gladys Logging- Folorunsho based in USA who drew the attention of the organisation on this song and the great work of the annointed artiste.
‘One Love One World’ by Psalm Ebube which was produced by Mikkyme Joses and the song drew the attention of the world on the importance of peace, keeping the world free of war and attrition and also protecting our planet.
Psalm Ebube is one of the most celebrated singer, an empowering voice for orphans & widow’s rights is one artist whose wealth of experience in the gospel terrain has continued to prove to be a blessing. He is well known for his evergreen praise songs such as Kabio’osi, Somebody worship somebody praise which is one of the most appreciated Nigerian Gospel Songs in recent times. He was born and raised in Lagos. Nigeria.
The singer who released a song on his birthday day, February 16 titled Life is Beautiful, is presently working on a new project ‘Suicide Awareness Stay Alive’ to celebrate World Suicide Prevention Day.
