6-week old baby becomes the youngest victim to die from COVID-19 in England

A six-week-old baby has become the youngest victim to die from COVID-19 in England after testing positive for the disease.   NHS England said the baby was among 332 people who have died after testing positive for the virus, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in England’s hospitals to 22,764.   The oldest patient was 103, and 22 of the 332 people -aged between 40 and 96, had no known underlying health conditions.   Of the 332 deaths announced today, NHS England said 58 were from 7 May, 124…

Taskforce intercepts vehicle conveying body of COVID-19 victim who died in Kano to Benue for burial

The Benue State Action Committee on COVID-19, on Wednesday evening intercepted a vehicle conveying the corps of one Peter Aiv Kogi who died of Coronavirus in Kano and was being taken to Konshisha local government area of Benue state for burial. When the Committee was alerted on the development, a roadblock was quickly mounted at Jato, near Aliade where the vehicle carrying the body of the COVID-19 victim was intercepted. All the four persons on the vehicle we’re immediately quarantined.
