Union Bank staff dies from Coronavirus in Lagos

A Union Bank staff has died from Coronavirus complications as confirmed by the Chief Executive Officer of the Bank, Emeka Emuwa.   In an internal memo made public on Monday May 4, it was gathered that the bank staff died while on treatment for Coronavirus at the Infectious Disease Center in Yaba, Lagos.   The bank staff was working remotely since March before contracting the disease.   The memo reads in part;   “Dear colleagues, notwithstanding the easing of the lockdown, the threat of COVID-19 remains high and real. The Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari has died. He died on Friday April 17, more than two weeks after he tested positive to Coronavirus.   Announcing Kyari’s death on Twitter, Presidency spokesman Garba Shehu, wrote; ”The Presidency regrets to announce the passage of the Chief of Staff to the President, Mallam Abba Kyari. “The deceased had tested positive to the ravaging COVID-19, and had been receiving treatment.
