Ogoni women in Rivers State today staged a peaceful protest over what they termed the ”continuous detention” of the manager of Prudent Hotel that was demolished under the supervision of the state governor, Nyesom Wike, on May 10.   The Rivers state government on Monday May 25, announced that Bariledum Azoroh, the manager of the demolished hotel, was among the 27 new cases of coronavirus recorded in the State. Youths of Enugwu-Ukwu community in Anambra state this morning staged a protest over the alleged killing of a young man, 22-year old Anthony Okafor popularly known as Junior.   The youths claimed that Junior was allegedly killed by security operatives for flouting the nationwide curfew around 8:15pm on Wednesday, May 20th. Again COVID19 patients stage protest in Gombe

COVID-19 patients protest in Niger state, threaten to abscond over poor treatment (video)

COVID-19 patients in Niger state on Wednesday May 6th staged a protest in their Isolation center over what they termed poor welfare and treatment meted at them.   They requested to be allowed to go baack to their homes instead of being left to ”die of hunger” at the isolation facility. This comes after COVID19 patients in Gombe state also staged their own protest.   Meanwhile one of the patients at the Niger state Isolation center has absconded from the Isolation center.
