16 doctors test positive for COVID-19 in Lagos – Medical Guild

Police officer demoted for assaulting medical doctor during Coronavirus lockdown in Akwa Ibom

A police officer deployed to the Akwa Ibom State command has been demoted for assaulting a medical doctor while enforcing the stay-at-home order of the Akwa Ibom government.   Recall that the Akwa Ibom State government had exempted health workers from its lockdown order, which was effected to curb the spread of Coronavirus in the state.   The police sergeant, Edidiong Alexander assaulted Dr Daniel Edet who is a surgeon with the University of Uyo Teaching Hospital, while on his way to work on Friday evening.   It was gathered that the police began investigating the incident…

UNIABUJA medical students injured after unknown men attack their hostel (photos)

Medical students at the University of Abuja were left with serious injuries after yet-to-be-identified men attacked their hostel in the early hours of today Friday August 2nd.   According to the students, the men armed with dangerous weapons stormed their hostel at about 1am and attempted to kill them. While some of the students were able to escape unhurt, others had serious injuries inflicted on them.   The University authority and the Abuja police command have yet to react to the attack.   See more photos below
