Lagos state police command arrests and parades 113 COVID19 violators (photos)

617 new cases of COVID19 recorded in Nigeria

617 new cases of COVID19 were recorded in Nigeria on Saturday, December 12.   According to the Nigeria Center for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos recorded 225 new cases, the highest for the day followed by FCT with181 new cases.   Other states with fresh cases include Kaduna-125, Adamawa-25, Nasarawa-20, Kano-12, Rivers-8, Edo-4, Ekiti-4, Bayelsa-3, Ogun-3, Plateau-3, Akwa Ibom-2, Delta-1 and Sokoto-1.   Nigeria now has 72,757 confirmed cases.   65,850 patients have so far been discharged with 1,194 deaths recorded so far.   See a breakdown of the number of cases per states…

Again COVID19 patients stage protest in Gombe

Video of COVID19 patients in Gombe protesting at their Isolation center

Here is a video of COVID19 patients in Gombe state protesting the lack of proper care at their Isolation center earlier today May 5. The protesting patients forced their way out of their Isolation center and barricaded the federal highway linking Gombe to Borno state.   One of the patients said ”they have all been using us for business”.   They said the Isolation center lacks drug and that they give the staff money to help them buy drugs.   According to NCDC, Gombe state has 96 confirmed cases of COVID19.   Watch the…

Minister of Health reveals drug used to treat COVID19 patients in Nigeria

Two children of a deceased COVID19 patient and his pastor who was praying for his recovery, have all tested positive for the novel virus in Rivers state.   This was disclosed by the state governor, Nyesom Wike, during a press briefing held in Port Harcourt, the state capital today May 1st.   The governor in his briefing, said the pattern of transmission of the novel virus in the state has shown that most of the cases were imported.
