Man who allegedly burnt his girlfriend’s son to death pleads guilty

A Ghanaian man accused of murdering his girlfriend’s 10-year-old stepson by setting fire to a house in Meduma at the Ashanti Region has pleaded guilty in court. The suspect, Kwaku Agyemang, 35, appeared in court this week and pleaded for bail so that he could be treated for the burns he suffered during the fire. But his plea was dismissed.   Mr. Agyemang allegedly soaked a blanket in petrol, sprinkled it all over the four-bedroom apartment, before setting the place on fire after a fight with his partner on Tuesday, March 3.…

Doctor killed and burnt in Zamfara

The Zamfara State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome murder of a medical doctor identified as Enoch Okpara.   Okpara who was a consultant Obstetrics/Gynaecologist working at the Federal Medical Centre in Gusau, was found dead at his residence in Mareri area of the state capital on Saturday June 13.   The remains of the deceased was found burnt beyond recognition after the church he worshipped in raised an alarm of him missing after not showing up for a programme on Saturday morning, which was quite unusual.   It was gathered…

A Nigerian woman and her two children, both under 10, were burnt to death in a fire outbreak that occured inside her one room apartment in Alikor estate in Choba, Rivers state today April 28th.   According to reports. the fire is suspected to have been caused by the kerosene the woman sells. Her body and those of her children have been evacuated and deposited at the morgue.
